SIDEWALK PSYCHICS

Dear Josie,

I don’t really know how to ask you this so I’ll just tell you what happened. I was in Wal-Mart parking lot with my son, putting things in my car and this woman came up to me and said, “Hi, God sent me to you.” She said she was a Medium and she was sent by God to tell me something. Then she told me a little about my baby’s father, she was kind of right. Then she said that if I wanted her to tell me more it was five dollars. I gave it to her but then she told me she had a crystal for me and I could get it tonight but it would be forty dollars more. So I went and when I got there she told me pretty basic stuff. Then she told me that someone does not want me to be happy and that this woman went to see someone to pay them so that I would never be happy. And I’m not happy really and I asked her if it was some kind of voodoo. She asked if I have been having trouble sleeping, and I said yes. She also asked if I have back trouble and I do. She said it is all from this woman. Then she told me that she was not going to give me the crystal she wanted to put prayers in it I was supposed to call her at 8:00pm. I did not call her because I feel if God sent you to me you would just tell me what you need to but I think she told me enough to suck me in then she wants $$$$$$$$$ so I did not call her or get the crystal. I was wondering if it is possible for what she said to be true about the voodoo or black magic. I’m kind of nervous but I have been living with it all these years so I guess I would not know anything other than this.

 

I picked this email because there are a lot of very good points here that I want to cover.

~ Sidewalk Psychics. This reader was picked up on by what is called a SIDEWALK PSYCHIC. Someone without training, that isn’t very professional. A legitimate psychic would NEVER come up to a stranger in a parking lot to give them a reading or message and ASK FOR MONEY. People like this give psychics and gypsies a bad reputation.

~ Legitimate Messages. That being said, I have been guilty of accosting strangers in public – ONLY WHEN I was sure they would be open to it, and it was necessary for me to intervene. In those cases my spirit guides had to force me kicking and screaming to do so, because it’s HUMULIATING to say, “Hi you don’t know me, I’m just some harmless psychopath, but God sent me to you and wants you to know…” I have NEVER asked for money if I actually had a message for someone. If I have to tell you something so badly that I have to approach you – you HAVE to know and there’s no way I would take money for such a thing.

~ Get a Referral. Unless you are just in it for pure entertainment, I do not recommend going to a psychic that you do not know, that you don’t have a referral for, and that has no training. Go to someone that a friend got a good reading from, don’t go to someone that just woke up one morning and decided they were going to be psychic. If they have a lot of training and credentials, that is helpful, but honestly, I’ve taken all those courses and I wouldn’t recommend some of my classmates just because they paid a grand to a famous psychic for a weekend course. If you want a good reading, ask around. Good psychics are highly recommended by their clients.

~ Schedule a Reading. If you want a reading, you go get one, you schedule it. You go to an office, Spiritual Book store, an Enlightenment Center, or a Workshop. It won’t come looking for you. Anyone that was actually sent by God with a legitimate message for you would TELL you and get on with their life. God doesn’t send people to ask you for money, and it is horrendous that this woman is scamming money from people in the name of God. Sadly, that happens everyday, but Messengers from God don’t need money to pass on the Message. If God wants me to tell you something, you don’t think I’m 1.) Not gonna tell you and disobey him or 2.) charge money to buy myself shoes.

~ Items for Sale. There is never any reason to buy anything that you don’t want. You do not have to have a certain crystal, healing oil, candle, dream catcher, piece of jewelry. Nothing. You NEVER have to buy anything. If God wanted me to give it to you, I would gladly give you anything he wanted you to have from me, for FREE. And certainly if God wanted me to give it to you, I would never question the word of God or DARE charge you for it. Never get pushed into buying something you don’t need or want.

~ Crystals. That being said, crystals are great. I wouldn’t want one with HER scam artist energy in it, so I would totally avoid that. Find a crystal you like that talks to you or feels right to you, take it home, wash it, and pray with it in your hand until it feels like you. The easiest way to get crystals charged with your energy is to sleep with them on your nightstand on under your pillow.

~ Rate the Psychic on Specific Details and Facts. She didn’t give you any specific information. Did she actually have any “Hits”? When you have a 4 year old and no wedding ring it’s easy to assume that you are having problems with the baby’s daddy. I could say to anyone, “Are you stressed out? Do you have headaches, back aches, or sleep problems?” And just about everyone would pause and then say, “Yeah, I guess so.” A good psychic can describe people, places, and situations to you, with very little help or information from you. A great psychic can give you specific names, dates, and addresses.

~ Follow-up Readings. There was NO reason she couldn’t tell you what she had to tell you right then. I do not recommend meeting up with strangers that you meet in parking lots EVER. It’s dangerous in many different ways. But actual psychics do not roundup new clients in parking lots. Ever. If you need a follow up reading with a psychic, it should only be because your session ran over. In which case, why didn’t they tell you everything they need to say in the allotted time?

~ Voodoo. Yeah, not so much. I know there are a lot of spiritual readers out there that will charge you so they can meditate for you or pray for you so that they can take a curse or hex off of you, or remove obstacles, or release negative energy for you… But it costs a lot of money. All you EVER need to do is pray to Archangel Michael to cut the negative chords, and pray to Archangel Jophiel to release the negativity around you.

~Energy Work. If you really feel that you need some energy work, there are plenty of healers and shamans that do energy work – and are trained to do so. A good chakra clearing, some reiki, or some cranial sacral therapy will rejuvenate anyone.

~ Voodoo/Black Magic Scams. She said some woman went to a psychic to put some voodoo on you? Yeah, not so much. First, this was more than likely a ploy to get you to pay to have the voodoo removed. Second, could she describe the woman? Was it your ex’s new girlfriend, your mother-in-law, your best friend? She should have been able to tell you who your enemy is that you are having a disagreement with. Third, do people really go to psychics to hurt other people? Good psychics certainly don’t practice such dark things that would bring about negativity. I highly doubt there is anyone that you have angered so badly that they would stoop low enough to pay a psychic to put some kind of voodoo on you. Even if they did such a thing, those things are also scams to take people’s money.

~The Power of Belief. The way everything works in life, is things only have power if you believe in them. Just like those videos where the people were rolling on the floor possessed. Their cultures believe in possessions, so people experience such things. Our culture does not believe in such things, so we don’t have such things happen. If someone puts a curse on you and you don’t know it and don’t believe in it, how can it have any effect on you? Besides that, it was very well put in the movie Labyrinth, and frankly words to live by, “You have no power over me.” The only things in life that have power over you are the things that you ALLOW to control you.

~ The Power of Light. I happen to know that you are a religious woman and surrounded by angels. The power of light and love is by far more powerful than any negative energy. Your angels and guides and your prayers keep you protected from any negative thoughts people have towards you. All you need to do if you are concerned is ask your angels and spirit guides to protect you and to clear you from negativity. While you are at it, ask them to keep all negative and harmful people away from you.

~ God Sent YOU to ME! I believe that God does put people in our lives for a reason. I do believe that God puts us together to learn things from each other. I am very glad that God put you in my life to give us all the opportunity to discuss this. I hope I answered all your questions. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
